Dreams and Inspirations

In Uncategorized on August 25, 2009 at 2:56 pm

Task one of the freelance journalism course instructs me to think of and write a list of my interests and passions, then choose one of them and write my first article about it.

So what are my interests, dreams and inspirations?  I suppose from around the age of 7, I have been passionate about football (or soccer to some of you) and I would spend every available moment playing football, watching football or talking about football. As I got older, the interest diversified into many other sports, such as tennis, rugby, athletics and cricket amongst others, now, it’s fair to say I am officially a sports fan!

So I could write an article about sport but before I decide, what are my other interests?

I love to watch movies; I have a collection of more than 400 DVDs of many different genres, from typically stereotype male films such as action and adventure but also dramas, thrillers, comedy and, yes, even romance!

Music is another passion. I am not musical myself per say but revel in the sounds and beats of the world that we live in and can enjoy everything from hard rock to classical and jazz to rock and roll.

The decision is becoming more difficult with each interest I think of. This blog is all about writing and at first it’s almost too obvious to think that the interest I might actually write my first article about is writing itself! What a good idea!

There are other interests too and my decision is not yet made but you will find out here at Midnight Scribe as soon as it is, hopefully along with the debut article.

Welcome to Midnight Scribe!
